You guys. What a wild ride this has been. Full of ups and downs and more downs but mostly ups. The thing that has kept us going through the all-nighters, the failed batches of swiss meringue buttercream, and the epic sister battles is YOU.
The relationships that we’ve made, the milestones that you’ve let us be a part of, and the community that has embraced us means everything to us. Brides have become friends. Vendors have become family. What a weird and wonderful little world we have become a part of.
To be honest with you, when I started this journey several years ago it was with one goal in mind – to master the art of cake. Let me be clear. I am nowhere near achieving this goal. But instead of being so laser focused on the end goal, I now realize that it’s actually those little moments along the way that are making this experience meaningful to me. To both of us. (But you already knew that about Elena because she cries every time we deliver a wedding cake.)
So the moral of this story is that I’m grateful. I’m grateful that this is no longer about me. It’s about you. And that is what keeps us hustling. It’s the smiles on your faces when you pick up your orders. It’s catching our brides walking down the aisle while we’re putting those finishing touches on her wedding cake. It’s seeing the photos of baby’s smash cake session. YOU are the fuel to our fire. And we cannot thank you enough.
Lots of love.
