Required:
1-2 years baking experience in a commercial bakery
Valid Food Handlers Card
Familiarity with commercial appliances (e.g., mixers, ovens, stoves)
General knowledge of basic baking skills (e.g. creams, sponges, and cookies)
General knowledge of basic decorating skills (e.g. covering cakes, working with fondant, working with chocolate, mixing colors, etc.)
Efficient and motivated individual that can meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods

Schedule/Hours:
20 - 30 hours per week as needed
Core Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Saturday: 6:00 am - 10:00 am
Flexibility is important (on slower weeks less hours may be required and on busier weeks more hours may be required)
$16.00 /hour (Paid Monthly)
We are willing to have some flexibility when determining final schedule

Job Description/Responsibilities:
Producing different kinds of icing, frosting, and cake fillings
Building four layer cakes
Covering cakes in a variety of finishes using swiss meringue buttercream
Decorating cakes and cookies according to customer specifications as well as coming up with your own creative concepts when given creative license
Decorating cakes with fresh flowers, metallic accents, fondant and embellishments
Hand painting on fondant using edible paint for both cakes and cookies
Using silicone molds with fondant for both cakes and cookies
Working with chocolate
Assembling and decorating regular bakery desserts according to bakery standards
Taking inventory of baking and decorating supplies and ordering new stock as required.
Cleaning and sanitizing all work areas, and baking and decorating equipment.
Any other baking and decorating related needs that we may have

Core Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Friday: 6:00 am - 12:00 am, Saturday: 6:00 am - 10:00 am
Flexibility is important (on slower weeks less hours may be required and on busier weeks more hours may be required)
$15.00 /hour (Paid Monthly)
We are willing to have some flexibility when determining final schedule

Job Description/Responsibilities:
Preparation of creams (e.g., buttercream, custards, curds)
Preparation of cookie doughs, including scooping and cutting of dough
Working with chocolate
Assembling regular bakery desserts according to bakery standards
Cleaning and sanitizing all work areas and equipment
Any other baking related needs that we may have
